well, lookie here!

So, one of the big lies that has been told is how the Bunker mods were so difficult to work with and how we didn't do our jobs. Screenshots tell a different story. This is from Casey - and was written at the same time there was a big kerfluffle going on with the Rubberneckers who were being quite abusive to him on the site and on their site-linked chatroom. Yet, none of them received a mass banning, or an individual one either - nope, they were allowed to regroup and go on their merry way until the NEXT kerfluffle when they basically had to neuter the whole group.

And yeah, I have a lot more where that came from, all of which prove that not only did the Bunker mods bend over backwards to keep the peace, but how willing we were to come up with solutions.

Do I like posting these screenshots? - absolutely not, but I feel that I have been pushed to do this because the twisting of the truth just never seems to end. I have been silent for weeks while my name has been trashed as well as the names of my fellow Bunker mods and members. After the banning incident today, I'm not going to be quiet any longer. I'm not going to sit quietly by this time and let people only hear one side of the story and lead some other nutcase to defend Ravelry's honor by threatening my children.

There is nothing that anyone said in the Bunker or anywhere else on Ravelry that was as heinous as someone threatening my kids. NOTHING.

Wow, this is soooo not the propaganda Casey and others put out there on rav. Glad your posting these.

Yep, and people stalking you across the internet just to threaten your kids are such jerks. Maybe they need to examine what their motivations are cause if defending C&J was the reason then you've proved there was no problem between you and him.

I really don't like posting these screenshots - otherwise I wouldn't have waited so long to do it. I just feel like this latest incident will bring out the crazy and I'll get another threatening email or worse.

Thanks Jen. I so appreciate getting the air cleared on these... and I know it's not something you have wanted to do.

Bring out the crazies is right. There are several users on Rav that are just a tad bit battier than your typical kool-aid crazy.
Thank you for finally telling the other side of the story or "The Rest of the Story" as the late great Paul Harvey would say.

I'm not sure what TPTB on Rav think they will accomplish by letting the sleazier clientele more or less take over their site. When I first entered Rav I had high hopes for that site. Those hopes were dashed fairly quickly after a few forays into the Big 6 or the town square so to speak. What an eye opener that was. Made me realize that there were some not so nice knitter in this world and they appeared to be congregating on Rav on the main 6 boards and in the low brow groups that really should have adult content warnings. Not exactly a teen friendly site.

Thanks for sharing the truth about what happens over there. Hopefully by doing this you will save some unsuspecting knitters the grief of finding out the hard way.

Thank you for this, and for what you will continue to write on this subject

Is it possible to include date/time stamps so we can follow the time line?

Good idea, but it seems a little time consuming right now. I'll see what I can do.

I so appreciate your bravery and courage in speaking out against the vile, foul, lunatics that have taken over the asylum. The double standards on that site need to be exposed. Also, unsuspecting joiners need to know that they have gotten into a site full of vile-spewing pornographers. Not the family friendly site they tout. Hugs!

OK, maybe it's just me being shell-shocked, but don't include things just 'cause an anonymous person asks for it. If the person can't stand up and say who they are, it's entirely possible they're trying to glean information that they can then PhotoShop.

But good on ya, EJ, for telling it like it is. I know you've wanted to play fair and not wanted to get to this, but if giving up screen shots is what proves the point, I say go for it.

Thank you for doing this. I know how much it is taking for you to do it.
